Affects of the Blizzard of 1952

The blizzard of ’52 affected Hallowell in two ways. One way was physically, and the other was emotionally. The blizzard of 1952 effected the community physically by losing a lot of important belongings like their homes, stores, trees, animals, lack of food because you couldn’t leave your house, and a bunch of other things. It affected their emotions by losing some of their loved ones, their homes, losing a lot of important things, and losing their way of seeing friends and love ones. Their cars were buried and and they had no way to get out of their house because the snow was covering the doors and windows. It was tragic for Hallowell, but they got through it when the snow melted, even though they were still scarred from people dying and things being ruined. They re-built the stores that were broken, and they fixed the houses, but the shock and amazement of the blizzard stayed with the people for a life time.
