The Jarnes-Hamburger Factory closed down,
Twin Johnson Brothers soon found,
A building made from wood with a brick foundation,
Which was the start of a Hallowell sensation.
10,000 to 12,000 pairs of boots,
The weekly payroll was quite the loot.
Then the workers were forced to leave immediately,
Their work was proclaimed, "not good quality."
In 1927, a skating rink took its place,
This, the Johnson brothers had to face.
The business had permanently come to a close,
It stands in Hallowell history as we should all know.
